The poetry my mother read to me when I was younger plated this seed years ago; there was a poem about death that always filled me with a sense of calm and dignity. When a local funeral home attended my eighth-grade job fair, my curiosity was ignited.

During my 14 years as a Funeral Director, I’ve observed how people express sympathy to grieving families, and how funeral establishments thank families for their trust.
